The Children’s Home: Saikot is a non-profit charitable organization established in 1980 at Saikot, with the sole objective of care, support and rehabilitation of orphans and the less fortunate lot of society. It supports orphans, destitute and underprivileged children irrespective of caste, creed, community, gender or religion. Free fooding, boarding, clothing, education and healthcare are provided besides various other amenities. Children are admitted at an early age and stay in this Home until they grow up and are able to stand on their own feet.
The Home, apart from imparting free education, aims to infuse a spirit of unity, love, brotherhood and self-reliance among the inmates who hail from different tribes and communities. At present, there are children drawn from 7 different communities and are all living together in peace and harmony. As a whole, the Home aims at the overall mental, physical, moral and spiritual development of children in an atmosphere filled with love and understanding so as to enable them to mature into respectable and responsible lot of society.

OUR MISSION
1) To provide basic human needs to orphans,
destitute and underprivileged children based on the
Christian perspective and values of love,
compassion and tolerance so as to enable them to be self-reliant.
2) To inculcate human values.
3) To impart quality education and life skills.
The children attend an English medium school within the Home campus and study there up to Matriculation level. The Home has so far produced more than 500 Matriculates. After Matriculation, majority of them are admitted in Higher Secondary schools in Churachandpur. The exceptionally brilliant children are sent for higher education to the state capital and even outside the state. Arrangements are also made for imparting training in various vocations for the less gifted children. Upon graduation or completion of vocational training, they are released from the Home to venture out into the wide world and earn their own livelihood.
